Thanks to glitzy international car shows like theone taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, as we speak, we have the opportunity to see some very special and limited production vehicles in the flesh, that otherwise, we would only hear about. One such example is French racing team Exagon Motors' Furtive-eGT, which was first displayed in front of the public in prototype form at the Paris motor show back in 2010.
The production version of the all-electric sports coupe weighs just over 3,600 pounds (1,650 kg) and has dual electric motors from Siemens, one for each wheel, delivering a combined output of 395hp (402 PS) and a constant torque of 510Nm (376 lb-ft).
A three-speed, automated gearbox developed by Exagon Motors delivers power to the rear wheels.
The French brand says the Furtive-eGT goes from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in just 3.5 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph).
Energy is provided by a 500-pound (227kg) 53 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which offers a driving range of up to around 360 kilometers or 225 miles.
The price for all this is €388,000, equal to US$500,000 at the current exchange rates.
