In view of the lack of any new production or concept models, Jeep's stand at this year's Paris Motor Show will be occupied by the European premieres of three special edition versions, all of which have already been presented in North America.
The most impressive of the three is no doubt theGrand Cherokee SRT Limited Edition available exclusively in a Bright White finish with blacked-out exterior details and Gloss-Black and chromed 20-inch alloy wheels.
Interior goods include carbon-fiber accents, leather-wrapped perforated heated steering wheel with mounted paddle shifters and ventilated sports-styled Nappa leather and suede seats.
Under the hood, you will find the mighty 6.4-liter HEMI engine producing 468-horses for a 0-100 km/h (62mph) acceleration time of 5 seconds and top speed of 257 km/h (160mph).
The second special edition Jeep model to debut in Paris is the new Wrangler Moab that gains a more aggressive look via a sculpted power-dome hood, body-color hardtop with deep-tint sunscreen glass, black fender flares, 17-inch wheels painted medium-gloss black and more.
The Wrangler Moab will go on sale in Europe in the first quarter of 2013, in both two-door and four-door versions powered by the 2.8-liter turbo diesel or a 3.6-liter V6 petrol powertrain.
Also making its European premiere is the new Compass Overland with bespoke 18-inch polished alloy wheels, chromed inserts on the front grille, leather interior with accent stitching, and added equipment features like the 368-watt Boston Acoustics premium sound system, and UConnect multi-media infotainment and navigation system with 6.5-inch touchscreen and 40-gigabyte hard disk.
The Compass Overland is offered in Europe with two engines including a 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine delivering 161hp (163PS) and 320Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations, and a low-output version of the same unit with 134Hp (136PS) and 2WD.
