If anything, Lamborghini's designers had a walk in the park when they were asked to improve the Murcielago Roadster's so-called "umbrella" soft-top on the new Aventador LP700-4 Roadster. For those of you wondering why, to put it simply, the open-top Murcielago's roof was a cosmetic and engineering joke, especially for a vehicle that cost in the region of $400,000.
Not that Lamborghini's engineers pushed themselves in any way with the Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, but at least the carbonfibre targa tops seem fairly easy to operate and mount on the exotic supercar's roof.
Then again, targa tops with or without a central bar are nothing new and have been used on cars as mainstream as Pontiac Firebirds more than four decades ago…
If you hop over the break, you will find a series of videos from the Aventador Roadster's presentation, which include footage of the roof.
Hans, we salute you for the tip!
