Following the official presentation at the Geneva auto show last month, Lancia has opened order books for its special edition Delta S by MOMODESIGN. Priced from €23,400 ($30,070) in Italy for the entry-level 120 HP 1.4 Turbo Jet version-, the limited series Delta is aimed at “a male metropolitan customer looking for distinctive style,” according to Lancia's press blurb.
The Lancia Delta S by MOMODESIGN features a series of aesthetic tweaks that reflect the stylistic cues of products design by MOMODESIGN Centro Stile – ranging from helmets, watches, eyewear and shoes to luggage.
The car stands out from regular Deltas with side skirts and bumper that are the same shade as the bodywork, smoked headlights, dark-chrome finishes, 18-inch wheels finished with dark shadow treatment, twin chrome exhaust pipes and gloss black tailgate. The Delta S by MOMODESIGN also has two new colours available – the metallic Antracite Grey and Antracite Grey/Eclissi Black two-tone scheme.
On the inside, there’s a gloss black center console, speedometer with yellow shades and special sporty leather and fabric seats with blue stitching. The same leather is also found on the steering wheel, gear lever, handbrake lever and door panels.
Besides the entry-level 1.4-liter gasoline engine (also available with LPG), the Delta S by MOMODESIGN also has two diesels in its range - the 190 HP 1.9-liter Twin Turbo Multijet and the 120 HP 1.6-liter MultiJet units.
Prices in Italy start from €23,400 ($30,070) for the 120 HP 1.4 Turbo Jet version, with the LPG version starting from €25,400 ($32,650). The top of the range versions equipped with the two MultiJet turbodiesel engines are priced at €26,400 each ($33,930).
Standard equipment includes cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, power mirrors, multifunctional steering wheel and front armrest.
